Partytime Barbie dolls were only available in Europe and Canada in the 1970's and came with three different face molds. These pretty ladies wore party style clothes. Mattel used three different face molds; the twist 'n turn face mold which was also used for the European Fun-time Barbie doll, the sweet Steffie face mold, and the popular Superstar Barbie face mold. All three versions have real rooted eyelashes. The #9720 Superstar Barbie, with her brand new face mold and blonde hair was released in 1977 in the United States with a pink dress. The 1977 foreign versions wore a different dress (black skirt with pink flowers, pink bodice and a matching black shawl with pink flowers and pink ruffle).
